Finding neverland

On a bed I lay
silent and warm,
Electricity’s out;
The tiniest sound to cause alarm

I shut my eyes,
my dreams collapse
into my mind
They scream inside

Off I go
float away
A slippery ride
across the haze

From skies of gold
and indigo
Through seas of blackened
afterglow

From mountains low
to craters high
in a craze
My dreams in chase

The sun creeps in
Dawn’s arisen
to wake me up from my slumber
softly

I land back, into my self
a little tired, a little fazed
from around the world
in a daze.
